About This Position
FIRE ALARM SERVICE TECHNICIAN
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and repairing fire alarm systems for commercial and residential clients. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, inspect, test, and repair fire alarm systems according to manufacturer specifications, NFPA codes, and local building codes.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and inspections to ensure system functionality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients regarding fire alarm system operation and maintenance.
- Complete service reports, documentation, and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure company provided vehicles are clean and well maintained as required by company policies.
- On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service and inspection requests.
- Ensure that all assigned tools are safeguarded and maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven 2+ years experience with knowledge of fire alarm systems, and related equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- NICET or State certification required.
- Building Reports experience preferred.
- ServiceTrade experience preferred.
